I simply got fed up with splitting feathers and scraping pith. I needed a fly with similar qualities that I believe the Breadcrust exhibits to the fishes point of view.

• Hook: Fullingmill Jigforce #10-16
• Bead: 4.0mm faceted tungsten gold.
• Thread: 50D GSP, White.
• Abdomen: Composite dubbing brush with Hemmingway’s Cream and black hare’s mask fur, root beer & bone colored grizzly barred micro legs.
• Collar: Grizzly Hen followed by gray fox pine squirrel guard hairs. Black hares mask.

• Thorax: Dyed mottled gray Brahma Hen saddle and squirrel body fur in a composite dubbing loop using a Marc Pettijean magic tool or similar tool.
• Collar: Squirrel body hair followed by black hare’s mask fur. Pink glo-brite thread. Optional - tan Brahma Hen added to the dubbing loop.
